Mosquito Sheriff of Fort Wayne was founded by April and EJ Wright on May 8, 2023. They live in the town of Leo, IN just outside of Fort Wayne. They have three children (Charlie, 9; Cain, 12: and Joy, 18) and a dog (Riley).
April has a degree in IT (AS) and the first seven years of her career operations and customer service. In 2011 April left her day job to be a full-time mom and raise her family. When Charlie started preschool in 2017, she got back into the work force part-time working in customer service and retail. Once Charlie was fully adapted, she eventually began working full-time using her degree in 2019.

EJ has degrees in engineering (MS), organizational leadership (BS), industrial design (BASID), and tool engineering (AASTE) and has 27 combined years experience in operations (13 years experience in reliability, process, manufacturing, & facilities engineering disciplines and 14 years experience in facilities, engineering, procurement, and maintenance management).
In the summer of 2022, they decided to go into business for themselves. They wanted to open a business that was environmentally friendly and sustainable. After carefully considering several options for a new start-up business they decided to look at franchising. Upon comparing several “green” franchises they decided to go with Mosquito Sheriff. The pest control services industry is growing, and insects aren’t going extinct any time soon. The product used for their insect spraying services are 100% all-natural and is safe for children, pets, and bees.
